Time capsule for sale!

There is no reserve on this Bring A Trailer.com listing. Based on the quality of this “barn find,” it’s likely to fetch a pretty penny. However, as of Friday afternoon (Sept 13), the current bid is a shockingly low $6,000. This time capsule is a pristine 1992 Ford F-350 Banks Sidewinder with original hand-painted Banks logos and pinstriping. What makes this truck even more special is that it was owned by a Banks employee.

It feels like you have taken 2,000 pounds off the truck and it becomes fun to drive. The towing performance really wakes up and the fuel economy also improves. This is a fun truck with the turbo system and it brings back good memories! The new owner will definitely love this truck!”

“I debated posting the ‘barn find’ photos but here they are,” says Kevin, the truck’s owner. “I knew about the truck from my days working at Gale Banks Engineering about 15 years ago but had no idea where it was. It turns out a friend of a friend bought it when he worked there in the mid 90’s and had it in storage. The owner had gotten up in age and had not driven it for a few years but kept the tags current. When he passed, I was able to make a deal with the estate and bought the truck knowing its history.”
