Fuel economy improvement for Jeep

Richard Collins bought a Ram-Air Intake and Monster Exhaust for his 2018 Jeep JK 3.6L. He’s one of those happy customers that have no problem telling folks about the fuel economy improvement. “I am absolutely satisfied! All of my friends with diesels have Banks on their trucks, so I decided to do some research on what they had for my Jeep. I kept reading about cold-air intakes and exhausts, and how they can help. I decided to order the Ram-Air and the Monster Exhaust.”

Proof of the fuel economy improvement

“Number one thing here: I am not a freaking car mechanic,” says Richard with a chuckle. “I’m lucky if I can even change the oil. I installed the whole thing myself and it wasn’t hard to do. The hardest part was finding my Sawzall that had been packed away for two years to cut the stock exhaust pipe.”

Before installing the Banks products, Richard was only getting 19 miles per gallon. “We went down to the beach, and the Jeep was loaded with four people and all of our stuff. During a 30-mile stretch, it got 22.5 mpg. One morning I reset the gauge while on the way to work, and got 26 mpg at 55 mph. The Jeep was on cruise control with the stock tires. At that speed, you can’t even hear the motor running. It’s just so quiet. But when I go to jump down on it it’s got a nice growl.” That’s a massive fuel economy improvement!

Banks Ram-Air Intake for Jeep

“I dealt with a gal at Banks named Kate, and she answered all of my questions. I called her back after I installed everything and I told her to keep my account open… because I’ll be buying a PedalMonster next!”
