2016 Camaro 2.0L Ecotec

Banks doesn’t do it often, but when Gale’s longtime friend asked him to find some extra ponies for his 2016 Camaro 4-cylinder Ecotec, the turbo guru was eager to assist and to see what this little engine could do.

The Banks team started with a custom exhaust incorporating Banks’ own Monster mufflers for minimal backpressure. The team then made an engine-mounted, computer actuated, water-methanol injection system. A turbocharger kit from ZZP featuring a Borg Warner EFR and custom turbine housing were added to provide extra power. Engine calibrator Jeff Lee developed the special tune.

Gale’s friend is ending up with more than just a few extra ponies. When all was said and done it was more like a stampede of Clydesdales.
