Air Superiority Seminar
Tech Talk #2: Sometimes it’s good to be dense! Gale explains why in the second Twilight Tech Talk seminar.
Gale Banks has partnered with The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum to offer Tech Talks in conjunction with the Twilight Cruise Nights car show. The Tech Talks are a series of monthly educational automotive seminars with industry leaders. The first seminar on April 3rd was “Suck, Squeeze, Bang, Blow–How Does an Engine Really Work,” about the basics of four-cycle engine operation and the second seminar on May 1st is “Air Superiority: Sometimes it’s good to be dense” which covers how intake density is the key to power.
Tech Talks are free and open to all Cruise Night guests. Tech Talks are held at 6:00 pm in the Gale Banks Automotive Technology Exhibit inside the museum.
In addition to Gale’s seminar inside the museum, join the Twilight Cruise outside in the museum parking lot from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm for hot rodding fun for the entire family. This FREE event includes a live DJ, plus food and beer vendors, incredible raffle prizes and more. There’s plenty of FREE parking, and if you wish you can bring a ‘72 and earlier hot rod or street machine and put it in the show! Participate in the Grand Prize Drawing featuring a California Hot Rod Reunion Weekend Getaway Package, an Auto Club NHRA Finals Weekend Package, and a Smith-Miller Union 76/Mobil Gasoline Tanker Collector Truck. All proceeds benefit the museum.
While at the Fairplex, be sure to see the Gale Banks Automotive Technology Exhibit inside the museum and discover over 50 years of Banks’ history, including world record-setting engines, cars and trucks. Admission into the museum is free after 3 p.m.
The museum is located at the Fairplex in Pomona, 1101 W. McKinley Ave., Bldg. 3A, Pomona, Calif. 91768. Enter at Gate #2 (just west of the Sheraton Hotel). For more information, call 909/622-2133 or visit museum.nhra.com.
