Justin Laparo: Co-Owner
Magnolia Diesel Performance is the brainchild of Chris Blair, who started the business back in 2004 under the name DRV Performance and focusing on RV performance. As the demand for diesel performance continued to grow Chris saw the potential and moved the business to a larger shop in 2016 changing the name to Magnolia Diesel Performance to reflect on the new focus.
Justin Laparo had been working in the oil field business for 12 years before making the change to diesel shop co-owner of Magnolia Diesel Performance. His job required him to travel quite a bit, and he wanted to take a different route in this life so that he could be home more with his wife and new baby. Justin had known Chris since 2007 having him previously make his race truck for him and taking care of all of his diesel performance needs. Through the years the two became good friends, and Chris let him know that he was actually looking for partner for his business. This was the opportunity Justin needed to make the change for his and his family’s life. So, in early 2019 Justin and Chris joined forces.
Magnolia Diesel Performance (or MDP for short) is a complete one-stop-shop. Customers can shop on their online store or come on in and be helped by one of their friendly and knowledgeable staff. You can even take your tired, old truck there that has engine trouble and come out with a rebuilt engine, tired and a lift put on. And if they don’t carry it just ask them about it that they’ll see what they can do. Engines, turbos, injectors, aftermarket products and five bays to work on customer’s trucks … you name it and they can help you out with it. Not just satisfied with service, maintenance and street performance MDP is also active in the racing community with 6 of their current employees on the company race team.
With Chris’s experience, Justin’s knowledge of what a customer expects in the form of high-performance vehicle service and their continuing racing endeavors the two have created a customer experience that excels expectations.
