2018 Chevrolet Silverado L5P Duramax 2500 HD
Purchased brand new in 2018, Michael Ellis’s truck is his canvas. The Air Force aircraft mechanic works in what spare time he has on the total customization of his ride. Happy with the look and color of his bronze Method Race Wheels, Michael set out to add more bronze to his truck. He found the exact matching color and added bronze accents to his custom grill, and fully powder coated his track bars and the Banks rear differential cover. “I love the design of this thing,” said Michael, “and I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs.” He’ll find out the next time he tows his 38’ toy hailer to the desert.
Along with his newly powder coated parts, Michael has made a number of other modifications. The truck has been lifted and rides on a CST lift kit with dual-reservoir shocks that’ll be wrapped soon to match his wheels. He does have some firepower to go with the looks, sporting an iDash DataMonster and Derringer combo. “I like the look of the iDash in the pillar mount, with all the information, programmability, multiple screens… all of it is just better than Edge and the others.”
Why did he go with Banks? “Originally when I was doing some research on what to get my truck I saw that you guys were the only ones that could come up with some real numbers. You test on the dyno, test on-road, and the fact that you’ve been around longer than anyone. It was for all those reasons that I had to go with what I saw to be the clear choice and something that I can trust.”
Thanks, Michael, and we trust that you’ll keep making that truck beautiful and more unique with each modification.
