01:12 on and even though it looks like it’s just eye candy it’s not this sucker cools the diff temp what does that do gets you a much better film between that metal so it doesn’t thin out as much and uh there’s the liquid lube itself that’s going in hundred percent synthetic

01:28 and if you don’t know about this stuff this is actually the very stuff that bobby unser used to use on his hulk climb car way back in the late 60s with al amituzio he helped pioneer this lubricant and amsoil is actually the first to make synthetic motor oil in 1972

02:04 hey and if you’re new to the channel definitely subscribe we got some discoveries as colin was taking these bolts off he he took this right bolt off and all of a sudden it started coming out so we found out i guess that’s the drain bolt so that that little bolt right there the 02:24 bottom right one at the very bottom is your drain you don’t have to take the cover off i guess but uh we’re gonna get this old one off and we’ll show you what it looks like in a second gear lube looks decent how many miles is on her uh we just hit 13 000. all right

02:45 so that’s a good interval to get her out get her all cleaned up is that 13 000 city driving towing a little combination towing city driving a little bit of highway that’s great what were you telling with her mostly boat all right what was the weight poundage would you guess i don’t

06:18 inside and put all these little fins so it has more contact patch you cool the oil and then here you got all these extended so on most covers it ends here this is all extra and this is pulling heat out of the oil so by having this 20 30 degree cooler diff temperatures

06:36 you have a much stronger film which the oil film doesn’t thin out you have less metal on metal less frictionless heat and you don’t run into thermal runaway which is an exponential process of thinning out the oil so you can see the uh gentleman himself here this is the designer

06:50 here’s his beautiful bolts so it looks like he gives you the ability to get rid of the oem ones that are all like special to a nice other set if you want or whatever you want to put on and then we got our nice fresh o-ring kit that just lays right inside here so this is a reusable seal

08:25 easy as pie that’s our first bolt going in which i think is the drain bolt easy peasy all right colin’s prepping the easy pack and this package holds about 1100 pounds of pressure so you don’t got to worry about nutting as far as it breaking on you when you’re squeezing it in

09:25 and then he’s going to trim the tip which is super easy we can use a razor or scissors boom and now we got a nice pointy little tip and uh we’re gonna start feeling we got a upper little fill spot right over here which i’ll give you a close-up on right here there she is super easy to get to beautiful

10:14 it in the halfway mark in the sight glass so instead of cutting a new tip you can use the same tip just peel off the old easy pack seal which can be a real stickler sometimes just transfer the tip yeah just the tip just the tip second easy pack going in easy packs are way better than bottles
