Moe Johnson: Vice President
Moe Johnson is the Vice President of Gomer’s Diesel Inc. – USDieselParts.com and partners with William Gomer, grandson of the company’s founder. Moe runs the daily operations and being with the company for 24 years, he’s seen many changes in the diesel landscape, and with the business itself to fit in with the changing times. But well before both Moe and William came on the scene Gomer’s was already an established force to be reckoned with. For over 82 years they’ve been making the needs of their customers a priority… because that’s been the Gomer philosophy since day one.
Established in 1938, Gomer’s started as a small shop in the Great Falls area. There they mainly worked on small engines like Briggs and Stratton, evolving into work on tractors and farm equipment. As the need grew in the surrounding agricultural community for more work on engines and equipment Gomer’s eventually incorporated a full-fledged machine and welding shop.
Through the years Gomer’s Diesel has had 3 locations: Belgrade, Great Falls, and Missoula. The Gomer family business has spanned three generations, stood the test of time, and currently occupies a 25,000 square foot facility. Their compound includes a website design and support team, a full product showroom, a diesel fuel injection shop, a turbocharger rebuild facility, DPF cleaning facility and a full-service drive-in shop that includes eight bays and a Mustang MD-1100 dynamometer.
With the advent of the internet, Gomer’s consolidated their operations and dove headfirst into online sales becoming a warehouse distributor and a wholesale dealer. “We’ve got a lot of irons in the fire,” says Moe. “We have made it our motto that we will be all things to all people in the diesel pickup truck market, and we offer a one-stop-shop opportunity to our customers. If you were to come in and had some issues with your vehicle we have whatever you’d need from just straight repair with OEM parts to upgraded parts, injectors, and accessories.”
