4. Sleep and Wake-up

When the engine is not running, the iDash will sleep after 10 seconds of inactivity to save the vehicle’s battery. To wake, the iDash senses a voltage drop caused by the starter motor. Users can also wake the system manually by pressing buttons while the key is in the accessory or on position. After activation, the system remains on for 30 seconds without engine RPM detection.
