The Banks iDash Pro is built to stay readable in changing light. It runs bright enough for daytime driving and automatically dims at night, but you are not locked into one setting. In the screen and button menu, you can disable auto-dimming, set screen brightness and button brightness independently, or keep auto-dim on and fine-tune its sensitivity. That gives you better visibility without glare, whether you want the display to manage itself or you want full manual control.

To change the brightness behavior, start by pressing the right arrow to open the main menu. From there, scroll to the Settings menu to access display-related options.
Within Settings, look for the Screen and Button menu. This section contains the controls for display dimming and brightness adjustment.
If you do not want the iDash to dim automatically, use the Screen Auto Dim option to turn that function off. Disabling auto dimming allows the display to remain at manually selected brightness levels instead of adjusting itself based on ambient conditions.
Once auto dimming is disabled, you can set the brightness of the screen and the buttons separately. This allows more precise control over visibility, depending on personal preference and driving conditions.
If you prefer to keep the automatic dimming feature enabled, the same menu also lets you adjust its sensitivity. That setting changes how readily the iDash responds to surrounding light levels when deciding when to dim.
The overall setup gives the user flexibility to choose either automatic or manual brightness control. Whether the goal is maximum daytime visibility or a dimmer nighttime display, the iDash provides settings to tailor both the screen and button illumination.
