1. Opening the Menu

To add a shift light on an iDash installed in a manual-transmission vehicle, begin by opening the device menu with the right arrow. From there, scroll until you reach the Shift Light menu.

2. Enabling the Shift Light

Inside that menu, confirm that the shift light function is turned on. The feature must be enabled before any RPM-based alert can be configured.

3. Setting Shift RPM

Once the shift light is active, set the desired shift RPM. This determines the engine speed at which the iDash will trigger the alert, allowing the driver to choose a shift point that matches the vehicle and driving style.

4. Using It for Engine Protection
