Banks iDash Pro is more than a gauge display. It also gives you built-in diagnostics, so you can check vehicle codes right from the unit instead of reaching for a separate scan tool. Go into Diagnostics, select Vehicle, then check vehicle codes. For best results, do it with the vehicle in park. If the problem is severe enough, you may still be able to read the code with the engine off. You can also clear codes through the iDash, but that only resets the code—it does not fix the actual fault. The real value is getting a fast read on what the vehicle is trying to tell you so you can diagnose the problem instead of guessing.
